Short Biography

Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar was born in Jangaliapara village of Atabah Union of Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur district in his maternal grandparents’ house. From kiddy to childhood, from childhood to adolescence and from adolescence to youth; In short, until adulthood, they lived in their paternal grandparents’ house in Middle Baidgaon village, Shimulia Union, Savar Upazila, Dhaka District. Their family is a noble Muslim family and the ancestral home is popularly known as Mullabari. He spent most of his childhood, adolescence and youth (life) in this Middle Baidgaon village. The nature, form, green shade and chirping of birds of this village still attract him. Therefore, he moved to this village with the pull of countless memories of his childhood and youth and the pull of nature. Among all the grandchildren of the grandparents of Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar, he was the most loved by the grandparents. He is the only son among four children of his parents. He has one elder sister and two younger sisters. In personal life he is married. Has one son and one daughter.

Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar received his Arabic and Islamic education as a child at maktab at Middle Baidgaon Ashraful Uloom Hafizia Madrasha (Note: The Madrasha by this name does not exist at present. It should be noted that most of the land for the Madrasha was donated by his grandfather late Salim Uddin Mulla and grandmother late Amena Khatun during their lifetime). He received /studied his primary education from class I to class II from East Baidgaon Government Primary School and received his primary education from class III to class V from Baidgaon Government Primary School. He received lower secondary education from VI to VIII and received secondary education in science department from IX to X from Baidgaon High School. He received his higher secondary education in science department from Alhaj Abdul Mannan College. He achieved a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS) and obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) from BRAC University. Also, he holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Jahangirnagar University. Also received advanced training on Electro-Medical / Bio-Medical Technology from China and his research papers have been published in international journals like IEEE.

Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar was averse to government jobs. Government Technical Jobs or Government Non-Technical Jobs; He was not interested in any government job. Can be Said, He did not apply for government jobs. Because in his opinion, there is comparatively less hands-on engineering practice, application and demonstration in government jobs than in private jobs; In government jobs, the work of engineers is limited only to documents and signatures. On the other hand, hands-on engineering practice, application and demonstration in private/non-government jobs is relatively more than government jobs. Therefore, as an Engineer, he was more interested in private employment/entrepreneurship than government employment to maintain/exist engineering practice in himself.

Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar has worked in various industrial establishments / factories and private companies during his career. In his work experience he has achieved; Industrial employees working in industrial establishments / factories are deprived of fair rights and facilities and are subjected to a lot of discrimination. Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar founded “Bangladesh Industrial Employees Association (BIEA)” with the intention of building a solid platform for the overall welfare of the industrial employees to speak out boldly and protest the injustice in unity with the aim of removing these inequalities. At present, the largest united platform of skilled industrial employees working in industrial factories is “Bangladesh Industrial Employees Association (BIEA).

Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar is a dear person of organization. Since his school life he has been involved in various social, humanitarian and welfare work and such organizations. Love of organization runs in his blood. He is involved with various organizations because of his love for the organization. Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar founded “Bangladesh Industrial Employees Association (BIEA)” besides establishing many other general, social, humanitarian, welfare and professional organizations. e.g. Su-nagarik Bangladesh (SUBA), Bangladesh Electrical Engineers’ Association (BEEA), Non-Government IEC Professional Forum of Bangladesh (NICPFB), Bangladesh Association of BNQF’s Trainers and Assessors -BABTA, Bangladesh Freelancers Society (BFS), Joltungi Humanitarian Foundation, Savar Upazila Graduate Association, Savar Upazila Engineers’ Society (SUS), Paper and Tissue Industries Employees Association of Bangladesh, Food and Beverage Industries Employees Association of Bangladesh, Plastic and Polymer Industries Employees Association of Bangladesh, Ashulia Club (AC), Salim Uddin Mollah – Amena Khatun Memorial Welfare Trust, Middle Baidgaon Rural Maternal Centre. e.g. Su-nagarik Bangladesh (SUBA), Bangladesh Electrical Engineers’ Association (BEEA), Non-Government IEC Professional Forum of Bangladesh (NICPFB), Bangladesh Association of BNQF’s Trainers and Assessors -BABTA, Bangladesh Freelancers Society (BFS), Joltungi Humanitarian Foundation, Savar Upazila Graduate Association, Savar Upazila Engineers’ Society (SUS), Paper and Tissue Industries Employees Association of Bangladesh, Food and Beverage Industries Employees Association of Bangladesh, Plastic and Polymer Industries Employees Association of Bangladesh, Ashulia Club (AC), Salim Uddin Mollah – Amena Khatun Memorial Welfare Trust, Middle Baidgaon Rural Maternal Centre. Also, the organizations with which Engr. Jahangir Alam Tushar is associated – Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), Bangladesh Electronics and Informatics Society (BEIS), Students Welfare Association of Shimulia (SWAS), Students Welfare Association of Savar and Sudhasa (Sunagarik Dhamrai Savar) Cooperative Limited.
